In a busy world our regular groups provide a place where friendships can be developed and strengthened, a place where the journey of faith can be walked-out together and a place we can be family.

LIFEGROUPS

Meeting in small groups, in a home setting, gives us a good place to strengthen relationships, as we enjoy each other’s company, share our faith, study the Bible, pray and bring challenge to our lives.

Currently, we have 6 Life groups meeting during the week at various times – this is what they said about themselves:

  1. We meet every Monday from 2pm until about 4:30, and meet in each other’s homes.  We follow a study book and discuss the questions in the book. We have a time of sharing and prayer and finish with refreshments.

  2. We meet fortnightly in the Maybury Centre and we have a time of worship, discuss some Bible study themes (usually based on the previous Sunday Service), have a prayer time and some refreshments.  We meet on Tuesday afternoons at 2pm until 3.15pm which generally suits retired people, but also those who work part time or nightshifts.  On the other Tuesday we sometimes meet at Queens Park cafe!  Some walk around the park and then we all meet for a drink and a chat.  We currently have 13 members of the group when we are all there.

  3. We are a small friendly and supportive Life Group with a heart for mission. We meet in the Maybury Cafe on alternate Tuesdays at 2.00pm until 3.30pm and on zoom at 7.30pm on Tuesdays when we are not meeting in person. We use the weekly Bible study before turning to prayer for each other, and current issues.
  4. We meet every Tuesday at the Maybury Centre at 3.30pm and aim to finish by 5pm. About eleven regular members meet, and enjoy getting together, catching up, sharing news, and eating cake. We like to spend some time praying for each other and about different things that we are involved with. We spend time discussing the sermon topic from Sundays. Once a month we get together for a social day, inviting friends along as well. Many in the group are involved in helping at Friendship Hub which gives us a focus for our prayers and further opportunities for speaking about our faith in Jesus.

  5. We meet on Thursdays from 6pm-9pm. We eat together, taking it in turns to provide the food. We worship and then discuss the previous Sunday’s preaching topic, trying to stick to the questions provided where possible! We pray for each other’s needs and try to meet up outside our Thursday meetings. Our group is a mixed bag of single, married, young and getting older!

  6. We are a Nantwich based group, gathering on Thursdays at 7pm. We meet informally together to eat, pray, study the bible and support one another.

The 5 F’s of our Life Groups are:

  • Family – We want to embrace the opportunity to create healthy families with a diverse group of people within our life groups
  • Fun – We encourage our groups to meet for fun activities, enjoying life to the full!
  • Focus – Discipleship is the main focus of our Life Groups; getting to know Jesus more and learning how to serve Him.
  • Fire – The power of the Holy Spirit is essential for us to live lives that are holy and effective in His Kingdom.
  • Food – Eating together is a tangible expression of community, and it can create a space for deeper conversations, shared stories, and spiritual growth.
